Curling Study Book

It was a few years ago, on a cold blustery winter afternoon, the Wednesday afternoon Ladies Curling League hosted some guests….a team….a team of researchers, not curlers who wanted to know about the role of curling in the lives of women in rural Canada. They spent the afternoon curling, drinking coffee and visiting. That visit, along with the input of 40 other women across Canada resulted in report entitled, Exploring Social Support, Sport Participation and Rural Women’s Health. Thanks to ACC executive member Ang Teichroeb and Wednesday ladies for your contribution. A copy of the book can be seen below, or read at the Altona Curling Club….PS — we think you will recognize the women on the front cover, including Edna Letkeman with the camera
